Minimum GPA of 3.5 in SSC/Equivalent and HSC/Equivalent separately (including additional subject).
Minimum CGPA of 2.5 in O-Levels in five subjects and A-Levels in two subjects separately, according to the scale (A=5, B=4, C=3 & D=2). Subjects with E grade will not be considered.
Candidates who completed 12 years of schooling from a reputed educational institution may also apply. (before applying please contact through admissions@bracu.ac.bd)
Candidates who completed IB-DP with a minimum DP Score of 24 are eligible to apply.
Candidates who completed schooling outside Bangladesh will have to submit verified/attested copies of previous academic documents from their Institute/Foreign Ministry and equivalence certificates from the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.
GED is not acceptable.
Academic requirements (Pharmacy)
Candidate must have a minimum aggregate GPA of 7.00 in SSC/ "O" level or equivalent and HSC/ "A" level or equivalent examinations (on a total scale of 10).
Candidate must pass SSC/ "O" level or recognized equivalents and HSC/"A" level or recognized equivalents in Science Group and obtain a minimum GPA 3.0 (on a scale of 5) without any additional subject.
Candidate must pass HSC/ "A" level or recognized equivalent examination with a minimum GPA 3.0 in Chemistry and Biology separately and a minimum GPA of 2.0 in Mathematics (on a scale of 5).
Candidate must pass HSC/ "A" level or recognized equivalent examination in the current year or one previous year.
Foreign students must have passed 12 education years and got the same grades in equivalent examinations from foreign recognized institutions.
The student must pass HSC/ “A” level or recognized equivalents with the following science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics.
However, candidates having no Mathematics at the HSC/ “A” level or recognized equivalents may be admitted, but they need to take an extra 3 (three) credits course on Mathematics relevant to B. Pharm. curriculum.
Admission should be based on competitive written test evaluations. In addition to the written test, an oral test may be taken for further assessment.
(Recognized equivalents mean Education Board, Madrasah Board and Bangladesh Technical Education Board)
Subject requirements for a particular program
Candidates for EEE, ECE, APE, CSE & PHY must have a minimum B grade in Physics & Mathematics at HSC or minimum C grade in Physics & Mathematics at A-Levels.
Candidates for BSc in Computer Science and BSc in Mathematics must have a minimum B grade in Mathematics at HSC or minimum C grade in Mathematics at A-Level.
Candidates for BSc in Electronic & Communication Engineering and Electrical & Electronic Engineering having Physics and Mathematics but not Chemistry at HSC or A Levels must take a remedial course in Chemistry, in addition to the courses required for the program.
Candidates for BSc in Biotechnology and Microbiology should have a minimum C grade in Biology and Chemistry at HSC/A levels. Candidates not having Mathematics at HSC/A levels must take a remedial course in Mathematics, in addition to the courses required for the program.candidates for BSc in Pharmacy must pass HSC/A-level/Equivalent with the following science subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics with a minimum GPA of 3.0 in Biology and Chemistry and a minimum GPA of 2.0 in Mathematics (on a scale of 5).

The Scholarships of Brac University
1. Scholarship Based on Previous Academic Results
50% tuition fee waiver is awarded to students at the undergraduate programs of Brac University from the first semester based on the following eligibility criteria. Eligibility criteria and other requirements in addition to Section-A (General Conditions):
1.1 Students who obtained GPA of 5.0 (without 4th subject) in SSC and HSC or equivalent.
1.2 Students who obtained 6 “A” -s in O Level/IGCSE (in two sittings) and 2 “A”s and 1 “B” in A Level or equivalent.
1.3 Students who obtained 38 Points out of total of 45 Points in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma.
1.4 A minimum CGPA of 3.80 is required to be maintained in all the semesters for students admitted in Fall 2021 onwards. Students who have been admitted before Fall 2021 need to maintain a minimum CGPA of 3.70. If a student fails to maintain the required CGPA, s/he will not be awarded with the tuition fee waiver in the following semester until regaining the required CGPA.
2. Scholarship Based on Brac University Admission Test Result
100% tuition fee will be waived to those students scoring the highest marks in the Brac University Admission Test (Applicable for Written Test Only). However, if a candidate attempts a written test for more than one group then the score of that group will be considered that has the maximum examination sections.
